Dr. Ali Alobeidli
Dr. Ali Abdul Kareem Al Obaidli, MB, BCh, BAO, MPH is a Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) and The Imperial College London Diabetes Centre. He serves as the Chairman of the UAE National Transplant Committee and is the Group Chief Academic Affairs Officer at Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA).
Dr. Al Obaidli completed his medical degrees at The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and pursued postgraduate studies in Toronto, Canada, in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Transplantation. He holds certifications in Internal Medicine and Nephrology from the American Board and Canadian Royal College, as well as UNOS certification in Transplant Nephrology. Additionally, he earned a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, alongside training in healthcare management and leadership.
He holds various leadership roles in the UAE’s public health system, including Chairman of the Scholarship Committee, member of the UAE Board of Medical Specializations, and advisory roles at UAE University and Fatima College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Dr. Al Obaidli has received several national awards, including the Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Academic Excellence (2003) and the Abu Dhabi Medical Distinction Award (2011). Internationally, he is a member of the GCC Transplant Committee and served as Vice President of the Middle East Society for Organ Transplantation (2014-2016).
