
Dr. Cal Matsumoto
Dr. Cal Matsumoto is the Director of the Center for Intestinal Care and Transplant at the Georgetown Transplant Institute in Washington DC, the largest volume adult and pediatric intestinal transplant center in the United States for the past 15 years. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed his surgical residency at Tripler Medical Center in Hawaii and his abdominal organ transplant fellowship at the Recanatti/Miller Transplant Institute at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. He was the Chief of Liver Transplant at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington DC prior to joining the Georgetown faculty in 2004. He has published widely in the field of Intestinal Transplantation and also serves as a reviewer for all major Transplant and General Surgery journals.
