Dr. Erika Lease

Dr. Erika Lease graduated medical school at the University of Washington followed by post-graduate training at Duke University. While at Duke, she completed residency in combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics followed by fellowships in both Pulmonary/Critical Care and Infectious Diseases. Dr. Lease now serves as the Medical Director of the University of Washington Lung Transplant program while spending her clinical time as a transplant pulmonologist and an attending with the Solid Organ Transplant Infectious Disease Program. She served as the Chair of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) Lung Transplantation Committee during the development of the new U.S. Lung Composite Allocation System and now serves as the Vice Chair of the OPTN Policy Oversight Committee. Dr. Lease is also active with the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, having served as the Chair of the Standards and Guidelines Committee.
