Marie Budev DO, MPH and I am currently the Medical Director of the Cleveland Clinic Lung Transplant and Heart – Lung Transplant Program. I am both a clinician and researcher and I am currently serving as the primary investigator on several multi-center clinical trials focusing on various aspects of chronic lung allograft dysfunction (CLAD) including CTOT 45 (Clinical Trials in Organ Transplantation) and CTOT 47. I have authored and co-authored more than 100 original articles and multiple book chapters focusing on various issues in lung transplantation. I currently serve as the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) Ex- Lung Committee Chair and serve as the present Chair of UNOS Lung Review Board. I am also a member of the Conflict of Interest (COI) Committee for the American Society of Transplantation (AST). In addition, I serve as the co-chair of the AST planning committee for the AST Medical Directors Forum. Recently, I was nominated to serve on International Society for Heart Lung Transplant (ISHLT) Education Committee. I have mentored over dozen Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellows who now either serve as lung transplant center medical directors or lung transplant medical physicians across the country.
